Raindance Montreal

Raindance is an independent film festival, film training, networking and resource organization that promotes and supports independent filmmaking through courses, training, networking and signature events.

Raindance doesn’t teach filmmaking. We make filmmakers.

We provide the tools for today’s new and emerging filmmakers to go out and make a film NOW, no matter your background or experience. Tom Hooper (The King’s Speech), Christopher Nolan (Inception), Guy Ritchie (Sherlock Holmes), Christian Colsen (Slumdog Millionaire) and Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead)…all STARTED their early filmmaking careers taking courses or volunteering at Raindance. And we are now in Montreal!

Started in London, England, Raindance has over 55,000 members worldwide, over 10,000 members across Canada and now with offices in 6 countries, including Montreal.

Put this date in your calendar: The last Monday of every month, Raindance Montreal holds a networking meeting for filmmakers, so come and join the ongoing conversation to connect with filmmakers and promote independent filmmaking in this province!

We welcome both new and experienced filmmakers to join us.
